The Snake Range is a high north-south range in far eastern Nevada. Much of the range is within Great Basin National Park.

The range seen from US Highway 50, 8/6/06. Note the four distinct vegetation bands: first pinyon-juniper, then sagebrush shrubland, then montane coniferous forest, and finally alpine slopes above timberline.
