Astragalus wootonii Sheldon

An annual Astraglus found at low elevations throughout the western half of New Mexico and in much of the rest of the southwest. The fruits are strongly inflated, thin-walled, and lack a septum. This taxon is often recognized as var. playanus of Astragalus allochrous.
