Calylophus hartwegii P.H.Raven subsp. fendleri (A.Gray) Towner & P.H.Raven

Found from central Arizona through New Mexico to western Texas & southwestern Kansas. Subspecies pubescens has pubescent calices & hypanthia, while subsp. filifolius has narrower leaves & is usually found on gypsum.
