Cercocarpus montanus Raf.

Sometimes this and Cercocarpus breviflorus are considered synonyms, or the latter recognized as a variety of Cercocarpus montanus. The two differ in the leaves being thinner, deciduous, and conspicuously dentate in Cercocarpus montanus, but thicker, ± evergreen, and entire to shallowly dentate apically in Cercocarpus breviflorus.
