Elymus smithii (Rydb.) Gould
A widespread grass found throughout much of the United States, most common in the
intermountain west. Elymus smithii is most readily recognized by its definitely
asymmetric glumes and generally bluish foliage. This species is sometimes placed in the
genus Pascopyrum.
