Juncus arcticus Willd.

A rush found throughout most of the United States, except in the southeast. In the southwestern U.S., this is a species of moist open ground along creeks &c. in areas of coniferous forest. In New Mexico, this is one of our few rushes with many-flowered, lateral-seeming inflorescences.
