Pomaria jamesii

A glandular legume of sandy soil, much like Hoffmannseggia but with glandular spots on the undersides of the leaves.

A flower at Salt Basin Dunes in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, 13 Aug 2007. In this area, Pomaria is sparse on the tan mesquite dunes, and apparently absent from the less-vegetated gypsum dunes.
