Purshia tridentata
A common shrub in northern New Mexico, similar to Fallugia. The species in the
genus are most easily separated by carpel number, with Purshia tridentata having 1
or, less commonly, 2-3 carpels and Purshia stansburiana having 4-9. Members of
Purshia were previously in the genus Cowania.
