The upstream side of Griffy Lake is quite shallow (and becoming shallower through silt deposition) and sometimes freezes solid in times of extreme cold. It did so in the Januaries of both 2003 and 2004, so I took the liberty of walking around on it and taking pictures both times.

Same as above, except slightly different field of view, and now I've put it on a tripod with a timer, and ran out onto the lake before the timer ran out. I can't decide to ditch one or the other, so you'll have to see both...
