The Cedar Hills are low, igneous hills just west of the Rio Grande, east of the Sierra de las Uvas.

Another view west, just south of the first, 18 Feb 2007. The canyon is the second one north from Foster Canyon; so far as I can tell it is not named.

Looking northeast from the east side of the Cedar Hills. The Selden Hills at are left, just across the Rio Grande, and the Doña Ana Mts. are at right.

In the second canyon north from Foster Canyon, 18 Feb 2007.

Going down this canyon, you come across what turns out to be the beginning of a small slot canyon cut through loose igneous conglomerate.

In the slot, 18 Feb 2007.

Further down the slot, 18 Feb 2007.
