The Tres Hermanas Mountains are a small range of low granitic mountains. The name is Spanish for "three sisters", in reference to a north-south line of three peaks in the range. Not spectacular, but a surprisingly rewarding area. I've only visited once, on the 5th of January, 2005.

Looking south at the Tres Hermanas Mts. from a gravel country road, 1/5/05. The three sisters are on the left, I hiked on the "fourth sister", the next tallest peak in the middle of the range.
