The Brokeoff Mountains are a small and fairly low range of rolling mountains on the west side of the Guadalupe Mts. Like the Guadalupes, they are made of limestone, however they lack the spectacular canyons and escarpments of the Guadalupes. I haven't actually been into them yet, but saw the Brokeoff Mts. from several different directions on the 26th and 27th of March, 2005.

The view south at the Brokeoff Mts. from a hill several miles west of the Guadalupe Mts., 3/26/05. The west rim of the Guadalupes is on the left.

I wasn't too sure where to put this picture, so I put it here. This is the view to the west from the same hill from which I took the above picture. Beyond the near hills, you're looking across the Crow Flats and the western part of Otero Mesa, with the Cornudas Mountains in the far distance.

This is a panoramic view of the Brokeoff Mts. from the east, 3/27/05. You're looking across the Crow Flats, and the escarpment behind the Brokeoffs on the left is the west rim of the Guadalupe Mts.
